Top Fine Dining Restaurant in Norwood

Nominated 5 years in a row by TripAdvisor, Vico Ristorante Italiano proves you don't have to go into the city for award winning Italian cuisine.

10 Years Later

And we still love what we do

Come into our home and dine with us. We have a delicious selection of plates and entrees for you to try. Not sure what to order, just ask and we will tell you about our favorites and the wines that pair best with them.

We both love the Risotto Pescatora because of the variety of seafood available. This dish combines mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari in a light, spicy tomato sauce. We would pair this with our favorite Chianti blend from Tuscany, Pergolaia.

Timeline

1990

Vincenzo Loffredo arrives in Boston from Orsara di Puglia, a small town near Foggia, Italy and begins working at Marino's in Cambridge, MA. Marino's was the first recognized farm to table restaurant in the Boston area. All the produce was harvested through Lookout Farm in Natick.

1992

Travels to Italy

Vincenzo travels back and forth to Italy perfecting his cooking skills, recipe creation and love of wine.

2001

Vincenzo left Marino's and began working as a head chef at numerous Italian restaurants in the North End of Boston and other Boston restaurants.

2003

Vincenzo begins working at The Sunflower Cafe in Cranston, RI with a huge following of patrons who loved his Italian food. For those who remember, it was a tiny cape style house, off the beaten path, disguised a restaurant.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olilo

This traditional Italian dish was perfected and featured in the Boston Globe

2005

Vincenzo leaves the restaurant world and begins working at Whole Foods Market as the manager of prepared foods. He was responsible for recipe creation and production.

Perfecting his Craft

From 2007 to 2014, Vincenzo works for Ristorante Marcellino in Waltham as their executive chef.

2014

After a 3 year search for the perfect location, Vico Ristorante Italiano opens on June 11, 2014. With three Loffredo children in tow, Maria becomes the front of the house manager and they begin their journey as restaurant owners.

COVID Strikes

Having to pivot, Vico Ristorante Italiano provided take-out options, and once reopened, they expanded with outdoor dining.

Today

Full Liquor License

Vico Ristorante Italiano goes from beer and wine to a full liquor license. With fingers crossed, they are hoping to expand and add a bar to their intimate cafe setting
